Exciting Opportunity for Med/Surg Night Nurses!

Job Description:


- Shift: 12-hour Nights
- Weekend Requirement: Minimum of six weekend shifts per six-week schedule
- Floating Requirement: First to float as needed, may float within Zone 4 if extreme need arises
- Unit Details:
- Total Beds: 21
- Nurse to Patient Ratio: 1:5
- Charge Nurse: Charge nurse takes an assignment
- Nurse Aids: Yes, with a ratio of 1:8


- Patient Conditions:
- Congestive heart failure (CHF)
- Hypertension and chest pain work-ups
- COPD exacerbations and asthma
- Pneumonia
- Pancreatitis
- Bowel obstructions and gastrointestinal bleeding
- Acute renal failure


- Required Certifications:
- BLS (AHA)
- ACLS (AHA)


- Experience Needed:
- Med/Surg experience
- Ability to titrate drips (analgesics, anticoagulants, antihypertensives)


- Equipment on Unit:
- CPAP, BiPAP, High Flow, vents
- Remote telemetry monitoring
- No need for RNs to read their own strips


- Shifts & Scheduling:
- Self-scheduling and block scheduling available
- Holiday requirement: Yes


- Orientation:
- Week of orientation fully staffed
- Assigned date & location during orientation week


- Cancellation Policy:
- Hospital reserves the right to cancel up to 4 shifts for 13-week assignments and 3 shifts for shorter assignments


- Charting System:
- EPIC


- Guaranteed Hours:
- 36 hours per week
- Contract Duration:
- 91 weeks
