Senior Medical Laboratory Technologist

Position Overview Routinely performs the duties of a Medical Technologist as well as the functions of the section supervisor. Maintaining SOPMs and instrumentation, supervising staff training and competencies, maintaining overall operations of the assigned section including ordering, maintenance, quality control, completing performance evaluations, initiating disciplinary actions, scheduling as needed. As requested takes on the duties of the department manager. Primary Department, Division, or Unit Lab Services, UHS Chenango Memorial Hospital Primary Work Shift Day Weekly Hours 40 Compensation $32.69 - $49.04 per hour, depending on experience. Sign-on Incentive Candidates may be eligible for a sign‑on bonus of up to $15,000. Education / Experience Minimum required: B.S. in Medical Technology, Biology or Chemistry or similar. Minimum required: 6 years work experience as a Medical Technologist. License / Certification Minimum required: Current c. Preferred: ASCP or NCA certificate.
