Tenet‑AZ Region is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) ED – Emergency Department for a nursing job in Tucson, Arizona. Job Description & Requirements Specialty: ED – Emergency Department Discipline: RN Duration: Ongoing Hours per week: 36 hours Shift: 12‑hour shifts Employment Type: Staff Sign on Bonus: Up to $15,000 (SOB) based on eligibility Position Summary Provides direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures and protocols of the healthcare organization. Implements and monitors patient care plans. Monitors, records and communicates patient condition as appropriate. Serves as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well‑coordinated patient care. Notes and carries out physician and nursing orders. Assesses and coordinates patient’s discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team. Assessment Initial assessment Re‑assessment Focused assessment based on patient condition, setting and population Problem Identification Problem identification is the nurse’s clinical judgment about the patient’s response to actual or potential health conditions or needs. Planning and Outcomes Based on the assessment and problem identification, the nurse sets measurable and achievable short‑ and long‑range goals in collaboration with the patient and family. Establishing daily goals with the patient and family Formulating a plan of care Transition or discharge planning Implementation Nursing care is implemented according to the care plan, ensuring continuity of care during hospitalization and in preparation for discharge. Documentation in the patient’s record. Ensures patient safety Medication administration Provision of ordered treatments Patient/Family education Evaluation & Care Coordination Both the patient’s status and the effectiveness of nursing care are continuously evaluated, and the care plan is modified as needed. Delegation Supervision Prioritization Minimum Requirements Education: Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing. Continuing education requirements as defined within the CARE program. Experience: One (1) year as an RN. Licensure/Certifications: Valid current Arizona Nursing License or compact state license and ability to become Arizona Licensed in 30 days. BLS: Basic Life Support (BLS) – American Heart Association and others as required by individual department as noted in Attachment A. Preferred Requirements Education: Bachelor of Science in Nursing Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) – American Heart Association Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) or others as required by individual department. #J-18808-Ljbffr Tenet-AZ Region
