Generous shift premium Potential for quick career growth Technical TrainingPosition SummaryThe Chemical Production Operator is responsible for ensuring personal safety, product quality, and production efficiency in the manufacturing of chemical products in accordance with customer specifications and production schedules. This role involves operating reactors and associated equipment, executing batch processes, and handling material transfers while maintaining strict compliance with cGMP, OSHA, and company standards. This position encompasses multiple skill levels, including Introductory Operator, Chemical Operator C, B, A, and Senior A. Progression is based on demonstrated competency and completion of training requirements outlined in the Production Training Matrix.Essential FunctionsOperate reactors and production equipment to execute batch manufacturing processes according to established procedures and production schedulesMonitor process conditions, control systems, and key performance indicators to maintain safe, efficient, and consistent operationsWeigh, verify, and charge raw materials into vessels and tanks in accordance with batch instructionsTransfer intermediate and finished products between vessels, storage tanks, and containersPerform raw material verification to ensure only correct and approved materials are usedRead, interpret, and respond to data from instruments (e.g., temperature, pressure, flow) to adjust processes as neededUnderstand and control key process variables that impact product quality and consistency, and troubleshoot deviationsExecute all work in compliance with cGMP, FDA, OSHA, and company policies, procedures, and standardsAccurately document batch data, process parameters, and activities in accordance with Good Documentation Practices (GDP)Maintain clean, organized work areas in accordance with GMP and housekeeping standardsActively support environmental, health, and safety (EHS) programs and contribute to a zero-incident safety cultureSafely operate forklifts, lifts, and other material handling equipmentHandle, store, and move raw materials, intermediates, and finished goods safely and efficientlyProvide technical and operational support to chemists, engineers, and cross-functional teamsAssist with process troubleshooting, continuous improvement initiatives, and implementation of new production techniquesSupport process trials and new product development activities as requiredAssist with inventory management to ensure adequate supply of materials for productionTrain and mentor new and existing operators as experience and proficiency increaseCollaborate across shifts and departments to ensure consistent and reliable operationsPerform other related duties as assignedEducationHigh School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED)ExperienceForklift experience and GMP training preferred. These are not required prior to hiring.
