About Us Formerly Aurora Santa Rosa Hospital, SRBHH was opened in 2016 and is regarded as an integral part of the greater Santa Rosa and Northern California mental health system of care. Conveniently located in the North Bay, this hospital consists of 144 acute psychiatric inpatient beds. Santa Rosa Behavioral Healthcare Hospital (SRBHH) serves adolescents and adults. We treat both mental health and co‑occurring psychiatric and substance abuse conditions. Position Details Position Title: Human Resources Coordinator Pay Range: $27.00–$31.50 Per Hour Reports To: Director of Human Resources Description: The Human Resources Coordinator provides day‑to‑day administrative support for the Human Resources Department. Primary duties include employee management, onboarding, training, compliance and recruiting. The HR Coordinator serves as the key contact for employee questions, comments, concerns, complaints and suggestions. While not the direct administrator for benefits, savings or retirement plans, the HR Coordinator acts as a liaison to direct employee concerns to external partners or the HR Director. The coordinator maintains knowledge of occupational health hazards and participates in further training. Key Responsibilities Employee Administration: Work with the Director of Human Resources to manage the employee experience from orientation through post‑employment, including verifications of employment, compliance management, status changes, promotions, transfers, separations and benefits enrollment. LOA Requests: Serve as the facility’s leave administrator, monitoring LOA requests, return‑to‑work information, eligibility for programmes and services, and modified duty. Coordinate recruitment and onboarding: Assist in placing and posting recruitment ads, collecting resumes, and responding to candidate inquiries. Work directly with candidates to collect required employment documents. Conduct initial candidate screenings: Perform phone, webcam or in‑person screenings and render judgments on suitability, forwarding appropriate candidates to leads or other team members. Interviewing: Interview candidates as requested and provide insight into suitability per profile and position requirements. Maintain hiring materials: Update HR resources, including forms, applications, interview guides, job descriptions, offer letters and pre‑screen results. Ensure compliance with federal, state and company expectations. Recordkeeping: Maintain files for all employees and contractors, meeting local, state and federal requirements. Reporting Requirements: Prepare required reporting such as EEO‑1 Component1, California Pay Data, Occupational Employment and Wage Statistics and regular internal reports. Coordinate training activities: Organise schedules and materials for employee training and orientation programmes, including new‑employee orientation, CPR training and other programmes. Maintain updated training materials and track ongoing training requirements. Administration of electronic systems: Maintain continuity of process for digital systems such as Workable, DocuSign, Zoom, Kronos, Pre‑Employ and other vendors. Monitor and track employee compliance: Work with HR team and other leadership to keep employees current on annual trainings, health compliances and other requirements. Administration support: Provide general department administrative support, including filing, scheduling, compliance completion, employee education and redirecting staff complaints as appropriate. Any additional related duties as requested by the HR Department or other administrator. Requirements Associate's Degree or equivalent level of education and experience. Three years' experience working in Human Resources preferred. General knowledge of Federal and State hiring and employment laws. General knowledge of routine administration of employee benefit programmes. Experience managing complex and detailed records. Health care industry preferred. Skills and Abilities Maintains confidentiality of employees, applicants and patients at all times. Sensitivity to and willingness to interact with persons of various social, cultural, economic and educational backgrounds. Proficiency with software: Microsoft Office applications including Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Strong organisational skills with ability to prioritise projects, manage multiple tasks independently and meet deadlines. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Strong interpersonal skills, including ability to work with people of varying background and educational levels. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Good judgement, problem‑solving and decision‑making skills. Demonstrated commitment to working collaboratively with staff in all departments and at all levels. Ability to work in a fast‑paced, expanding organisation. Physical Requirements Use standard office equipment, access, input and retrieve information via computer. Use keyboard with manual and finger dexterity and wrist‑finger speed sufficient for repetitive actions for extended periods. Communicate effectively in person or via telephone with a diverse population. Give and follow verbal and written instructions with attention to detail and accuracy. Perform complex mental functions and basic arithmetic functions; interpret complex laws, regulations and policies; collect, interpret and analyse complex data and information. Vision: see details of objects at close range. Coordinate multiple tasks simultaneously. Reach forward, up, down and to the side. Sit or stand for minimum periods of one hour at a time and come and go from the work area repeatedly throughout the day. Lift up to 25 pounds.
