Warehouse/Yard Associate

Job Summary

We are seeking a dependable Warehouse/Yard Associate to assist with receiving, organizing, picking, packing, and shipping materials and orders. This position requires strong attention to safety, organization, and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Assist with loading and unloading trucks and checking in merchandise
• Receive, sort, and organize incoming materials
• Pick and fill orders from warehouse stock
• Pack and prepare orders for shipment
• Place materials on racks, shelves, or in designated bins
• Maintain an organized, clean, and safe warehouse
• Sweep, dust, and mop work areas as needed
• Follow all warehouse safety rules and procedures
• Wear required safety equipment at all times

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of warehouse experience, preferably in shipping and receiving
• Experience operating a sit-down forklift, stand-up reach truck, or order picker
• Strong work ethic and dependable attendance
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Ability to follow safety rules and procedures
• Experience with carbon flanges and fittings is a plus
• Must be able to pass a background check and drug test

Physical Requirements

• Regularly use hands to handle materials and reach with hands and arms
• MUST be comfortable working in all weather conditions
• Frequently stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
• Regularly lift and move items weighing 10–50 lbs.
• Occasionally lift or move items weighing more than 100 lbs.
• Occasionally sit, climb, or balance
• Must have adequate close, distance, color, peripheral, and depth perception and the ability to adjust and focus
