Summary American Conservation Experience (ACE), a nonprofit Conservation Corps in partnership with Everglades National Park, is seeking ONE Project Coordinator Member to coordinate projects during pre‑construction and construction phases alongside National Park staff. This park protects the luminal subtropical wilderness of over 1.5 million acres, including sawgrass prairies, sgargl, pine rocklands, hardwood forest, and extensive mangrove estuary. It is home to threatened species such as the Florida panther, American crocodile, and West Indian manatee, and is the main source of drinking water for South Florida. The northern section is accessible via Miami or Everglades City; the southern through Homestead. Visit the NPS website for more information. Position Overview The member will help coordinate several projects that the Project Manager is working on, providing exposure to project‑management methodologies in a professional environment. Once trained, the member will track pre‑construction and construction activities; collect, validate, and manage data; analyze site conditions; estimate risks; evaluate engineering aspects of regulatory and permitting programs; assist the Project Manager in overseeing planning and implementation of a major restoration project; keep stakeholders updated; and provide recommendations to expedite activities. The role promotes professional development and networking with land‑management agencies. Responsibilities Assist the Project Manager to track progress on major restoration projects, including assessment of field conditions. Facilitate coordination and communication with other groups and offices involved in the projects. Identify and coordinate issues prior to adverse impacts on schedule and budget and participate on technical teams. Identify and develop solutions to engineering problems or needs; independently plan and conduct reviews. Assist the Project Manager with project planning and scheduling while creating a work breakdown structure and integrated delivery schedule. Collect and analyze data related to the project. Prepare regular briefings and presentations to communicate project status and progress to multiple stakeholders. Track progress, identify delays, and ensure projects stay on schedule. Coordinate between project teams and external parties to keep everyone updated. Schedule Anticipated schedule is from 9:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. at location. Some earlier starts may be required when site visits are scheduled. Position Benefits וצאה Living Allowance: The ACE Member is expected to contribute approximately 40 hours per week and will receive a living allowance of $770 per week to offset costs of food and incidental expenses, dispersed bi‑weekly. 山县 Housing: Housing is the responsibility of the member and is not provided by ACE or NPS. Provided Training/Orientation: ACE members receive position‑specific training and an orientation outlining ACE policies and procedures, clear guidance on prohibited activities, and networks for support. Qualifications Required: Authorized to work in the United States; ACE does not provide sponsorship for employment visas. Willing and able to represent ACE and the partner organization in a professional, positive, and enthusiastic manner. Ability to work independently and as a positive member of a group. Valid driver’s license and insurable driving record (documentation to be provided upon request). Members must be 21+ to drive due to ACE's insurance and liability requirements. Competitive applicants should hold or be pursuing aදු Bachelor's degree in project management and/or have relevant experience in engineering or hydrology. Excellent interpersonal relationships with strong written and verbal communication skills. Solid multitasking skills and detail‑oriented. Comfortable visiting construction sites. Preferred: A certificate in project management is preferred but not required. Ability and willingness to read engineering reports and drawings. Comfortable with public speaking. Deep interest in project management and coordination. Physical Demands, Work Environment and Working Conditions Physical Demands: Requires frequent sitting, standing, walking, hiking, carrying, using hands to handle or feel, reaching with hands and arms, talking and hearing. Manual dexterity required for use of computer grounds, mouse, and other office equipment. Must be able to walk on or around construction sites over rough terrain. Vision Requirements: Requires close, distance, peripheral, and depth perception vision as well as the ability to focus. Environmental: Outdoor and indoor conditions. Work environment conditions can change frequently; often under adverse weather conditions and in South Florida climates. Noise Environment: Moderate to high noise such as gas‑powered მოძრაობներ chainsaws and other hand and power tools; moderate noise in a business office with equipment and light traffic. Travel: This position may require domestic travel. Vehicle and Equipment Use/Safety If a vehicle is required for the accomplishment of duties, it will be provided by the NPS or ACE. Any tools required for the duties will be provided byazar NPS. Use of personal protective equipment (PPE), typically provided by the NPS, is mandatory for any activity that requires it. Strict adherence to NPS and ACE equipment training, certification, and safety protocols is required.
