Lead the restaurant team and ensure exceptional service while living Sea Life Park’s core values. Responsibilities Supervise daily operations of the restaurant team and any assigned departments. Lead by example and represent Sea Life Park’s core values. Act as a mentor and coach, ensuring professional staff appearance and uniform compliance. Become knowledgeable of all restaurant positions, including food prep, dining service, bar service, and banquet service, and step in to perform duties as needed. Participate in all aspects of supervision, including hiring, orientation, training, performance coaching, and discipline. Assist with team scheduling and time‑keeping activities. Deliver exceptional customer service by listening attentively and responding promptly to guest requests and complaints. Ensure compliance of all company, state, local, and other policies and procedures. Maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and safety of the restaurant. Adhere to ServSafe, state, local regulations, and other applicable food regulatory standards. Become knowledgeable of all point‑of‑sales (POS) systems and use them accurately. Accurately document restaurant activities and provide written reports to management. Assist with quality control and ensure proper standards are maintained. Motivate and instill customer‑service excellence in all team members. Inspect equipment and report any unsafe or broken assets. Escalate safety, hygienic, or maintenance issues promptly. Respond to emergency situations calmly and professionally. Handle, label, stock, and store products including alcohol, chemicals, and cleaning supplies. Assist with catering and banquet event execution as needed. Perform other duties assigned by leadership. Education and Experience No formal education required. 1–2 years of experience in a restaurant setting. 1+ years of supervisory experience preferred. Requirements Must be at least 18 years of age. Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Negative TB test within the last two years. Reliable transportation to and from scheduled shifts. Ability to comply with all uniform policies. Exceptional customer‑service skills and ability to resolve issues professionally. Safety‑oriented mindset and understanding of state and local food regulations. Warm, friendly, and professional interaction with guests. Ability to speak with guests directly when leadership is absent. Ability to handle high‑pressure situations and coordinate multiple priorities. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Strong attention to detail and problem‑solving abilities. Previous POS experience and PCI compliance is a plus. Ability to follow direction, multitask, and work both independently and as part of a team. Language Fluent English is required; Spanish or other bilingual skills are a plus. Physical Requirements Stand, walk, and remain on feet for the majority of the workday. Occasional stooping, twisting, kneeling, bending, squatting, or reaching above shoulders. Remain sedentary for periods while using a computer. Withstand heat and humidity from food prep equipment. Carry, push, pull, lift, and hold objects weighing 30 pounds or more. Working Conditions Primarily indoor restaurant setting. Potential to work in other indoor or outdoor park areas as needed. Exposure to variable outside temperatures, high heat, cold, direct sun, humidity, dust, rain, snow, ice, and other weather conditions. Exposure to oils, chemicals, detergents, and cleaners.
