Responsibilities Provide member service, maintain checkout area, resolve member issues and concerns, and promote Sam's Club products and services. Offer guidance and support to members regarding self‑service technology. Process member purchases, assist with payments, returns, refunds, and exchanges according to company policies and procedures for different membership and payment types. Follow company safety standards, procedures and guidelines, including conducting safety sweeps. Handle merchandise properly and report unsafe situations to facility management. Maintain entrance areas: acknowledge members, verify membership cards, identify member needs, assist purchasing decisions, locate merchandise, promote services, zone and arrange merchandise, assist members with transporting items, and maintain a safe shopping environment. Maintain exit areas: review member receipts, acknowledge members, secure assets, observe potential criminal activity, maintain paperwork, logs and documentation, execute emergency response procedures, and ensure compliance with security and safety practices. Assist in training Member Frontline Services associates on company processes and procedures, teach new technology and tool functionality, deliver new program rollout training, and provide continuous learning and process improvement opportunities. Ensure area of responsibility is maintained in accordance with company policies and procedures by properly handling returns, zoning the area, arranging and organizing merchandise, and identifying shrink and damages. Comply with company policies, procedures and standards of ethics and integrity, implement related action plans, use the Open Door Policy, and apply them in executing business processes and practices. Complete work assignments and priorities by using policies, data, and resources; collaborate with managers, co‑workers, customers and other business partners; identify priorities, deadlines and expectations; carry out tasks; communicate progress and information; determine and recommend ways to address improvement opportunities; and adapt to and learn from change, difficulties and feedback. The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location. Additional compensation in the form of premiums may be paid in amounts ranging from $0.35 per hour to $3.00 per hour in specific circumstances. Premiums may be based on schedule, facility, season or specific work performed. Multiple premiums may apply if applicable criteria are met.
