This assignment involves providing patient care for a diverse patient population, including those with GI bleeds, COPD, CHF, diabetes complications, ESRD, dementia, TIA/stroke, A-Fib, hypertension, sepsis, and vascular issues. The RN will be responsible for clinical duties, including charge responsibilities, with the opportunity to work in a teaching hospital environment that fosters collaboration and mentorship. Job Details Position Description: Medical Surgical Floor RN responsible for delivering patient care within a general medicine unit, with responsibilities including potential charge nurse duties. Shift: 12-hour night shifts, hours per week: 48. Required Qualifications: Certifications, education requirements, and a minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in a medical-surgical setting, with licensure in good standing. Valid nursing license and skills checklist required. Schedule: Nights, 12 hours per shift, 48 hours per week. Start date: 11/30/2026, end date: 02/27/2027. Additional Information: The assignment includes working through holiday periods, with a requirement to work at least one major holiday such as Thanksgiving, Christmas, or New Year's Day. Ancillary support includes phlebotomy, EKG technicians, CNAs, and supply availability. Experience with Cerner electronic medical record system preferred. All travelers are expected to contribute to a culture of support, especially when interacting with students and new hires. Submission requirements include work history with at least 2 years of experience, explanation of employment gaps over 90 days, skills checklist, and a copy of licensure.
