About the Role:

Feine Coffee Roasters is looking for an experienced Café Manager to run the day-to-day operation of our Conshohocken café.

The Café Manager is responsible for the overall performance of the store, including the team, coffee quality, customer experience, cleanliness, inventory, ordering, scheduling, and daily execution.

This is a hands-on management role. The manager is present in the café, works alongside the team when needed, coaches employees in real time, and makes sure the store is operating consistently throughout the day.

Coffee experience is important for this position. The Café Manager should understand espresso preparation, grinders, drink quality, bar workflow, and what a well-run coffee shop should look and feel like.

Feine also serves pastries and food produced by our commissary kitchen. The manager will work with the production team to maintain appropriate inventory, place daily orders, reduce waste, and make adjustments based on sales and customer demand.

Responsibilities:

• Manage the daily operation of the café from opening through closing.
• Lead, schedule, train, and coach the café team.
• Maintain consistent standards for coffee, drinks, food, service, cleanliness, and presentation.
• Monitor espresso quality, grinder settings, recipes, and barista technique.
• Manage inventory, ordering, product pars, and waste.
• Coordinate pastry and food orders with our commissary kitchen.
• Make sure the café is properly stocked and prepared for each day.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming store.
• Monitor labor, sales, waste, and overall store performance.
• Address employee performance issues and maintain clear expectations across the team.
• Build relationships with customers and regulars.
• Look for opportunities to improve sales, service, product mix, and the overall customer experience.
• Support local events, partnerships, and community opportunities when appropriate.

What We're Looking For:

• At least 2 years of management experience in a café, coffee shop, restaurant, or similar food service environment.
• Professional coffee shop or café experience.
• Experience with espresso machines, commercial grinders, drink preparation, and café workflow.
• Experience managing employees, scheduling, training, inventory, and ordering.
• Strong organization and follow-through.
• Comfortable making decisions and addressing problems as they come up.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Experience working with pastries, bakery products, or fresh food is preferred.
• ServSafe Manager Certification required.

Schedule:

• This is a full-time management position with early morning and weekend availability required.
• Feine is primarily a morning and daytime café.

Compensation:

• $45,000-$50,000 annually, based on experience.
