Alternate Locations: Charlotte, NC (North Carolina); Greensboro, NC (North Carolina) Work Arrangement:In Office : Employees will work in a Lincoln office with a designated workspace.Relocation assistance: is not available for this opportunity.Requisition #: 76608The Role at a GlanceIn office Monday - Thursday with flexibility to work from home on FridayWe are looking to add an Associate Director to the Commercial Mortgage and Real Estate Investments team. In this position, within the Loan Production Team, you will provide experienced support in the annual origination of $2 billion of commercial mortgage investments throughout the United States. Additional responsibilities involve the ongoing management of the $17 billion commercial mortgage portfolio. The ideal candidate is looking for increased origination responsibilities including credit analysis and business development. What you'll be doing•Support Managing Directors in business development through correspondent relationships and new transactions for assigned territory; actively manage and develop relationships with correspondent mortgage bankers. Manage transactions from origination through closing.•Underwrite new commercial real estate loan investment opportunities providing analysis and recommendations to the Managing Directors.•Draft term sheets, application/commitment letters, and other transaction related documents for review by senior team members. •Complete due diligence analysis including review of leases, rent rolls, third party reports, estoppels, and other business-related matters.•Work with senior team members and legal counsel in the negotiation of loan terms and documentation. •Prepare investment committee memos working collaboratively with senior team members, while leading the due diligence process for loans in the application stage. •Serve as business liaison throughout the loan closing process working with appropriate internal/external stakeholders to effectuate a timely closing.•Act as a resource in the training and mentoring of junior team members. •Travel for due diligence and business development trips.•Perform quarterly reviews, including operating statements and leasing updates, for existing loans. •Additional investment support may include real estate equity and credit fund investments.•Handle special servicing requests as requested.What we’re looking forMust- have experience: •4 Year/Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience (4 years of experience in lieu of Bachelor's) - Minimum Required•3-5+ Years’ experience required in commercial real estate finance and/or commercial real estate investment and analysis that aligns with the specific responsibilities for this position.•Experience analyzing asset lending transactions.•Knowledge of commercial real estate principles and valuation methods.•Knowledge of national commercial real estate and mortgage markets and macro-economic trends that affect those markets.•Ability to understand and evaluate real estate financial statements. •Knowledge of real estate legal concepts and understanding of loan documents.•Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint•Experience with Costar and Argus preferred.•Advanced degrees and/or certifications strongly preferred.
