Description of Work This position plays a key role in delivering psychological services that guide patient treatment, as well as supporting teamwork across the hospital. As a Psychological Services Specialist, you will perform the following duties: Team Participation: Attend treatment team meetings and contribute recommendations during discussions. Assessment Work: Complete initial and annual evaluations for assigned patients in line with hospital requirements. Therapeutic Support: Provide group and individual therapy sessions to strengthen emotional and behavioral health. Collaboration Efforts: Work with medical, psychiatric, and interdisciplinary staff to develop treatment and behavior plans. Documentation Duties: Maintain required patient records in an electronic record system. Work Schedule and Additional Information: Full‑time employment. Work hours are 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday‑Friday, with a 30‑minute lunch (may change based on operational needs). Possible evenings, weekends, and holidays on‑call. Overtime and travel as needed. Free parking. Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position. Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non‑negotiable. Required Experience, Training & Eligibility Qualifications Minimum Experience and Training Requirements: A master's degree in a behavioral science, counseling education, rehabilitation, human development, or a closely related field. Applicants will be considered to have met the educational requirements once they are within three months of graduating with a qualifying degree. Other Requirements: You must meet the PA residency requirement. You must be able to perform essential job functions. Legal Requirements: A conditional offer of employment will require a medical examination and drug screening. This position falls under the provisions of the Older Adult Protective Services Act. Under the Act, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports, including but not limited to PA State Police and FBI clearance.
