Join the dedicated team on 2 South Ortho Trauma Team at HCA’s Doctors Hospital of Augusta, where you’ll make a meaningful impact on patients recovering from orthopedic injuries, trauma-related conditions, and surgical procedures.As a Registered Nurse on the 2 South Ortho Trauma Unit, you will provide high-quality, patient-centered nursing care while working alongside a multidisciplinary team committed to positive patient outcomes. This role offers the opportunity to develop specialized orthopedic and trauma nursing skills while caring for a diverse patient population.What you will do in this role:Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans.Provide compassionate nursing care to orthopedic, trauma, and post-surgical patients.Administer medications and treatments in accordance with physician orders and hospital policies.Monitor patient progress and promptly communicate changes in condition to the healthcare team.Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans, recovery expectations, and discharge instructions.Collaborate with physicians, therapists, case managers, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate care.Maintain accurate and timely documentation within the electronic medical record.Promote a safe environment focused on quality outcomes and patient satisfaction.What qualifications you will need:Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date(RN) Registered NurseAssociate DegreeDoctors Hospital of Augusta, offers a total rewards package that supports the health, life, career and retirement of our colleagues.
