About the Role Occupational Therapist at Haywood Regional Hospital, part of Lifepoint Health. This full‑time, day schedule position offers a $15,000 commitment bonus for a 2‑year commitment. Responsibilities Assumes responsibility and accountability for patients treated by Certified Occupational Therapist Assistants, rehabilitation technicians, and occupational therapy students; may orient staff and serve as supervisor in their absence. Assesses patients' needs; identifies and initiates appropriate occupational therapy interventions; collaborates with interdisciplinary team to maintain professional standards. Observes and evaluates treatment outcomes and goal attainment; recommends changes to physician when necessary; performs assessments and reassessments per policy; submits accurate and timely QI scoring. Assesses patient pain impacting function; implements interventions to reduce pain and contacts physician for additional intervention if needed. Performs all patient care aspects in a patient‑safety‑optimized environment, reducing risk of medical or health care errors. Completes other duties as assigned. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy. Active NC Occupational Therapist license. Basic Life Support certification required within 30 days of hire. ACLS and PALS certifications required within six months of hire. Preferred: one year of experience, ASLS certification.
