Internal Medicine Physician

An Internal Medicine Physician is needed for a 120-day assignment in Arizona to deliver preventative geriatric primary care. The clinician will manage chronic conditions, conduct annual wellness visits, and focus on keeping the patient panel out of the hospital. The schedule runs Monday through Friday from 8 AM to 5 PM. Practice Info Setting: Outpatient (Clinic Only) EMR: eClinicalWorks Patients per day: 10-12 Staffing Mix: Medical Director, 1:1 provider to MA ratio, Nurse Practitioner, front of house staff Responsibilities Provide comprehensive preventative geriatric primary care to a diverse patient panel Manage a wide range of chronic conditions including hypertension, diabetes, hyperlipidemia, CHF, CAD, COPD, asthma, CKD, thyroid disorders, osteoarthritis, and chronic pain Address cases related to dementia, cognitive decline, falls, mobility, and osteoporosis Handle acute illnesses and infections, ensuring appropriate treatment Conduct preventive care and annual wellness visits Oversee medication management and provide specialized geriatric care Maintain accurate coding and charting practices Utilize technology effectively in patient care and work collaboratively to minimize hospital admissions for patients Compensation Strong compensation Benefits Travel-related expenses covered A-rated medical malpractice insurance provided Dedicated recruiter for future travel opportunities Shift & Schedule 120-day assignment Monday through Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM, with a one-hour unpaid lunch Qualifications Board Certifications: Family Medicine, Geriatric Medicine, Internal Medicine Other Required Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS)
