Pharmacy - Pharmacist - InpatientInpatient pharmacist assignment for a 13-week contract with a Monday–Friday day shift schedule (7:00/7:30 AM – 4:30/5:00 PM) totaling 40 hours per week, plus rotating weekend coverage every third weekend (Saturday/Sunday 8:00 AM – 1:00 PM). This role supports a rural critical access hospital environment, covering multiple departments including ICU, Labor & Delivery, Med-Surg, and Emergency Department. The pharmacist must be comfortable working independently, especially during weekend shifts. This position requires adaptability and strong clinical judgment in a smaller facility setting where housing availability may be limited.The pharmacist will verify, prepare, and dispense medications while ensuring accuracy and compliance with physician orders and facility protocols. Responsibilities include reviewing prescriptions, monitoring for drug interactions, and supporting medication safety across multiple hospital units. The clinician will collaborate with healthcare providers to optimize patient care, manage medication inventory, and utilize systems such as Meditech and Omnicell for workflow efficiency. On weekends, the pharmacist must operate independently, handling all pharmacy responsibilities. Accurate documentation, adherence to regulatory standards, and participation in patient care coordination are essential throughout the assignment.
