Overview
Radiology Tech (X-Ray Tech) travel assignment in Rochester, New York. Start date: 07/13/2026. Duration: 13 weeks. Weekly pay: $2,682-$2,732 per week. Guaranteed hours: 0. Shift: 8-hour days. Work setting: hospital-based radiology department. This assignment requires NYS licensure or eligibility to obtain prior to starting and ARRT certification, with pediatric and trauma-center experience preferred.

Responsibilities
- Verify patients’ identity and review physicians’ orders before imaging
- Perform radiographic exams using x-ray equipment, producing diagnostic-quality images per orders
- Explain procedures to patients and answer questions; position patients and assist with mobility as needed
- Operate imaging equipment safely, minimizing radiation exposure and following safety protocols
- Ensure accurate patient records, proper image labeling, and transmission to the PACS system with dual patient identifiers
- Monitor patient status, adapt imaging approach for age-specific needs, and promptly report equipment issues to management
- Maintain professional communication with the radiology team and other caregivers

Requirements
- Completion of formal Radiologic Technology education from an approved program; ARRT certification in Radiography
- NYS license or eligibility to obtain prior to starting
- Minimum 2 years of X-ray Technologist experience
- Level 1 trauma center experience
- BLS certification (American Heart Association)
- Ability to move or lift patients and stand for extended periods
- 1 year of pediatric hospital experience and 1 year of trauma-1 center experience
- Ability to report within 30 minutes for on-call shifts
- Familiarity with pediatric fluoroscopy exams (UGI, VCUGs, Barium Enema, etc) and NICU portables (as noted in the skills checklist)
