We are currently seeking PRN Licensed Practical Nurses to join our team  to cover shifts in the Southwest Georgia Region at the following sites:

• Grady County Sheriff’s Office located in Cairo, Georgia

• Mitchell County Jail located in Camilla, Georgia

• Mitchell County Prison located in Camilla, Georgia

• Thomas County Sheriff’s Office located in Thomasville, Georgia

About this position:

The Licensed Practical Nurse is responsible for providing care for and treating detainees in a correctional setting. Correctional nurses administer both routine and emergency medical care and treat acute and chronic illnesses and injuries. 

Education

• Requires graduation from a nationally accredited licensed practical nursing program.

Certifications

• Current LPN licensure in the state of employment or ability to obtain license
• Current Basic Life Support 

Job Typ e: PRN

• Correctional nursing experience preferred but not required
• Ability to obtain a security clearance, to include drug screen and criminal background check
