Pharmacy Clerk

Job Title: Pharmacy Technician Reports to: Pharmacy Manager FLSA STATUS: Non-Exempt Job Summary: To work under the supervision of a pharmacist to deliver quality patient care and excellent customer service. Essential Job Functions: Assist pharmacist in labeling and filling prescriptions. Assist patients in dropping off and picking up prescriptions. Enter prescriptions into the computer. Verify that customer receives correct prescription(s). Schedule and maintain workflow. Prepackage bulk medications. Screen calls for pharmacists. Medication ordering. Billing of third party insurers. Prepare medication inventories. Assist in outpatient dispensing. Assist in inpatient dispensing. Purchase and bill. Maintain computerized records. Promote sales and develop the business. Minimum Skills and Knowledge: Must have dexterity in hands to scan/key items. Must have strong communication skills to ensure excellent customer service. Strong mathematical skills required to run the registers. Must be able to lift up to twenty-five (25) pounds 40% of the time. Must be able to stand upright for the majority of scheduled work shift.
