CMM Operator Inspector

Qualifications High school diploma or GED required; 5+ years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and training. Strong reading, writing, and math skills, including algebra and geometry. Ability to interpret safety rules, procedures, and technical documents. Skilled in solving practical problems and handling variable situations. Comfortable with both written and oral instructions, diagrams, and schedules. Responsibilities Read blueprints and engineering specifications to determine material, finish, and dimensional requirements. Perform surface finish comparisons using standard blocks and fingertip touch methods. Measure dimensions (length, height, angles, radii, etc.) to ensure accuracy. Report findings to the Inspection Supervisor and complete Inspection Deviation Reports (IDRs) as needed. Set up and test inspection equipment, including portable CMM and software. Calculate dimensions using blueprint values and standard formulas. Safely operate forklifts and cranes to move heavy components. More Than Just a Paycheck Right in the Mix.
