Office Assistant - La Jolla

Position: Office Assistant Location: San Diego, California Hours: Full-time / Part-time Pay Range: $23.00 - $29.00 per hour (actual offer may vary based on experience and other objective factors) Responsibilities Maintain all office supply inventories and ensure office equipment is in working order Troubleshoot payment receiving systems, POS terminals, and POS & Transaction Summaries Maintain accurate employee information in HRIS and keep personnel files organized and confidential Input, maintain and update employee certifications and ensure workplace postings are valid Organize monthly health and safety meetings, complete and file incident reports, and perform weekly anti-theft audits Prepare biweekly payroll processes and communicate off‑cycle pay adjustments Reconcile and balance daily cash and monitor daily cash expenses and out‑of‑store purchases Monitor custom reports and verify accuracy of credit card tips paid via payroll Communicate profit updates to the management team daily Basic Qualifications Minimum 1 year experience in a similar administrative role Experience working in a fast‑paced environment Experience in the hospitality industry is an asset Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Genuine, warm, caring, and honest with integrity Comfortable providing and receiving feedback and a natural problem solver Passionate about quality, professionalism, and relationship building Exudes confidence, humility, respect, and maintains a professional appearance Encourages healthy competition and supports team growth Benefits Career development, education, and growth opportunities Medical, dental, vision, life insurance and employee assistance program (EAP) Paid sick leave Discounted employee shift meals and 10% discount on all food & beverages Referral bonus program and sales competitions Employee discount, flexible schedule, disability insurance Equal Employment Opportunity: JOEY Restaurants is an Equal Employment Opportunity Employer.
