Why We’re Hiring This Role We need a senior AI engineer to own our customer‑facing agentic AI product. You’ll work closely with partners such as OpenAI to integrate Jerry.ai services into the ChatGPT app and drive new model capabilities. This role offers accelerated career growth and direct reporting to the COO. Responsibilities Own and maintain the current AI platform while driving architectural decisions for its future state. Consolidate prompts from six disparate locations onto a unified platform, leading cross‑team execution. Prioritize chatbot initiatives, keeping the team coordinated without adding process overhead. Track emerging technologies (voicebot, computer use), assess investment thresholds, and influence AI strategy. Manage the OpenAI relationship and ensure Jerry’s presence in the ChatGPT store. In the first few months, learn the prompt‑engineering workflow, explore existing tech stacks, and identify bottlenecks. Qualifications 4+ years in a technical role such as engineering or technical product management at a fast‑paced startup. Deep passion and curiosity for AI systems, including modern LLMs. Proven track record of turning complex ideas into scalable, production‑grade products. Strong understanding of API design, system architecture, and the ability to translate concepts for diverse audiences. Experimenter mindset—tinkering with new capabilities and staying ahead of industry trends. Proficiency in SQL and data‑driven decision making. Pragmatic approach to technical tradeoffs, capable of setting platform standards.
