Mechanical Assembly Inspector 2nd shift

Description: You will be the Mechanical Assembly Inspector for the Mechanical Assembly Inspection Team. Our team is responsible for inspection of mechanical parts and assemblies.

What You Will Be Doing

As the Mechanical Assembly Inspector you will be responsible for performing a variety of inspection operations of mechanical parts and installations fabricated and/or assembled such as completed systems, assemblies, tools, jigs, fixtures, prototypes, training devices and detail parts on manufacturing prototype, production development and/or production programs. Perform inspections utilizing a variety of techniques, inspection equipment and instruments to include visual, layout methods and various conventional types of measurement devices. Must be willing and able to work either first or second shift.

Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Inspect mechanical parts and assemblies
- Utilize visual and layout inspection methods
- Operate measurement devices and instruments
- Inspect tools, jigs, fixtures, and prototypes
- Support first or second shift operations

Basic Qualifications:
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Ability to work on a team
• High school degree or equivalent
• Must be able to use computer programs such as Word, Excel, etc.
• Ability to use precision measurement tools (ie: Calipers, micrometers, etc)
Desired Skills:
• Knowledge of machine parts, tooling section or mechanical assembly inspection
• Inspection experience

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
