Position Summary:

We are currently hiring a Full Time Certified (Bilingual- Spanish/English) HCSR-II (Health Care Service Representative) to join our Adolescent Health and Wellness Center. HCSR-II (Health Care Service Representative) are Medical Assistants who possess their National Certified Phlebotomy Technician credentials. As a HCSR-II/Medical Assistant at AHWC, you will support providers in the areas of adolescent health and other support services.   

Minimum Qualifications:

• High School Diploma required.  
• Minimum of 0-1 years of related clinical experience required. 
• Certification of completion as a Medical Assistant from accredited program and CPT Phlebtoomy/Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) required.
• Bilingual Spanish/English is highly preferred.
• Must have excellent communication skills and ability to provide exceptional experience to patients.
• Understanding of medical terminology, computer skills, and multi-tasking.  
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.  

Key Duties:

• Obtain vital signs, chief complaint, and medical history and accurately records in medical records.
• Maintains clinical logs and exam room logs.
• Registers and verifies patient demographics.
• Schedules appointments and recalls patients for required services.
• Prepares examination rooms, maintains inventory, and sterilizes instruments.
• Draws blood and collect samples for further laboratory evaluation. 

Starting Compensation: Minimum $23.00 per hour; Maximum $23.00 per hour

Work Environment Type, Location, and Schedule:

Position will be based out of our Bronx Adolescent Health and Wellness Center located at 960 Southern Blvd. Bronx, NY 10459. This position will require a schedule of Monday - Friday 8:30 am - 5:30 pm.
