Occupational Therapist

Location: Salt Lake City, Utah

Assignment Duration: This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM with alternate weekends required.

Job Description: The Occupational Therapist will work in the Ground West Rehab Center within the Main Hospital, providing rehabilitative services to patients with neurological, multi-trauma, and complex medical diagnoses. Therapists will engage in patient evaluations, develop treatment plans, and implement therapeutic interventions, contributing to the patient's recovery and continuity of care.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct thorough assessments and chart reviews for patients.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans focused on patient needs.
• Utilize various therapeutic techniques including neuro re-education, gait and balance training.
• Train patients on the use of mobility devices and lifts.
• Provide family training and home safety evaluations.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to enhance patient care.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• Master of Science in Physical Therapy (MSPT) or Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited program.
• Current Utah state license to practice.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be up to date.
• Experience in acute rehab or acute care preferred.
• Strong understanding of neuro, multi-trauma, and medically complex cases.
