Quality Engineer

Key Responsibilities:
• Improve the Quality and Process Control in day-to-day manufacturing activities including any internal and external feedback.
• Leading all internal and external ISO/AS and related audits.
• Hands on utilization and understanding of various problem-solving tools.
• Advanced Product Quality Planning, PPAPs and Customer / vendor contact.
• 8D problem solving methodology; flow charts and 5S implementation.
• Training, development, and implementation of procedures in a timely manner.
• Implementation of Continuous Improvement, Process Control, Cycle Time and Set-up Time Reduction and various data collection and analyzing approaches and working with different departments to improve the yields, reducing scraps and RMA.
• Define the quality system via the quality manual. Revise and update the Quality Manual as needed.
• Ensure implementation of quality system outlined in the quality manual.
• Responsible for documentation control of all levels.
• Review and update procedures as required.
• Perform other duties as needed to support the customers, manufacturing processes and quality systems companywide. This includes following procedures, work instruction and completing all related documentation.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in a related field and experience of five (5) years in Quality / Operations / Engineering that would provide the level of knowledge, skill and ability required to perform in this position.
• Must be able to read, interpret and consistently follow drawings, engineering specifications, floor manufacturing procedures, customer specification, data packs and workmanship quality standards.
• Ability to communicate with customers, suppliers, and company personnel through written and oral means.
