System Administrator

Our client, a global investment firm based in New York, is hiring a hands-on IT pro to be the go-to tech resource in its NYC office. You'll handle day-to-day end-user support, run point with the firm's MSP, and own real admin work in a cloud-first Azure environment. It's a lean team, so you'll get variety and plenty of ownership, reporting directly to the Head of Technology.Please make sure you read the following details carefully before making any applications.What You'll DoBe the primary onsite IT support for the NY office and support remote colleagues in other offices (Windows and Mac)Act as the main liaison with the MSP on escalations, issue resolution, and ongoing supportRun onboarding and offboarding, including device provisioning, accounts, and accessSet up and support conference room AV and office tech (laptops, docks, printers, network, Wi-Fi)Administer Azure resources, RBAC, governance, and cost managementManage Entra ID, including SSO, MFA, and Conditional AccessHandle endpoint management and security through Intune, MDM, VPN, and patchingManage Microsoft 365 and SharePoint Online, including permissions, retention, and intranet contentBuild GitHub Actions pipelines and automate tasks with PowerShellProvide light Linux server support for the dev teamTrack asset inventory and help with backup, DR testing, and office movesRequired Qualifications5+ years in systems or cloud administration, including 3+ years with AzureHands-on experience with Entra ID, Intune, and Microsoft 365 administrationProficiency in PowerShellExperience with GitHub Actions or similar CI/CD xhyhwjd Support experience across Windows and macOSLinux administration experienceExperience working with or alongside an MSPHands-on experience with conference room AVExperience in financial services or professional servicesBachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related fieldNice to HaveInfrastructure as Code experienceExposure to AI platforms like Claude, Azure OpenAI, or CopilotCertifications such as AZ-104, MD-102, or SC-300
