Certified Medical Assistant-Certified II - Ultrasound Procedural Area

Job Summary The Certified Medical Assistant II reports to the Ultrasound Supervisor. Responsibilities Perform multi-skilled activities to support a decentralized patient-centered approach to patient care and achieve desired outcomes. Assist in examination and treatment of patients under the direction of a physician. Interview patients, measure vital signs (pulse rate, temperature, blood pressure, weight, height) and record or input information into patient medical records. Prepare treatment rooms for examination of patients. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent. Completion of an accredited medical assistant program with six months of CMA/RMA experience. Certification through the American Medical Technologist (AMT), American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA), National Health Career Association (NHA), MedCA, or as a Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA), Certified Medical Assistant (CMA), or National Association for Health Professionals (NAHP). Current American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or American Red Cross BLS for Healthcare Providers certification.
