Job Summary for MRI Tech - Weekends
- Position: MRI Technologist
- Location: Rochester NY
- Schedule: Saturday & Sunday (7am-7:30pm), Monday (10am-10:30pm); includes holidays, on-call, and callback as needed
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate MRI scanner efficiently and safely
- Maintain a clean and safe scanning facility
- Prepare patients for MRI scans and explain procedures for patient comfort
- Insert IVs as required for testing
- Coordinate with physicians to provide and communicate diagnostic imaging results
- Document all procedures, maintaining confidentiality of patient information
- Perform patient care tasks as needed
Required Qualifications/Experience:
- Associate's degree in Magnetic Resonance Imaging or Radiology
- Minimum of two (2) years' MRI experience
- Experience with GE MRI scanners
- Level 1 Trauma Center experience
- BLS certification (American Heart Association ONLY)
- Injection certification
- NYS Radiologic Technologist license (or willingness to obtain after hire)
- ARRT certification preferred
- Familiarity with medical terminology
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- EPIC experience within the last year is a plus
Other Requirements:
- Must be available for on-call and callback coverage per unit needs
- Willingness to work holidays and weekends as scheduled
- Must be able to obtain TB skin test
- Must comply with all hospital policies and maintain patient confidentiality
