Respiratory Therapist for a 13-week travel assignment in an acute care setting. The RT will provide respiratory care to patients of all ages, including adults, pediatrics, and newborns, while covering multiple departments throughout the hospital. This role requires strong critical thinking, the ability to prioritize tasks, and the confidence to work independently during night shifts.

Requirements

Responsibilities

• Administer respiratory treatments and therapies.
• Manage ventilators, BiPAP, CPAP, Bubble CPAP, and high-flow oxygen therapy.
• Perform arterial blood gas (ABG) collection and analysis.
• Conduct EKGs and assist with intubations.
• Monitor and assess patients with respiratory conditions.
• Provide respiratory care for neonatal, pediatric, and adult patients.
• Complete daily equipment checks and accurately document and bill procedures.
• Collaborate effectively with the interdisciplinary healthcare team.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of Respiratory Therapist experience in an acute care setting.
• Active Oregon Respiratory Therapist License (required at submission).
• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) via NBRC or Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) meeting facility requirements.
• Current BLS (AHA), ACLS (AHA), PALS, and NRP certifications.
• Experience with:
  • Ventilator management
  • BiPAP/CPAP
  • Bubble CPAP for newborns
  • High-flow oxygen therapy
  • ABGs
  • EKGs
• Ability to work independently and prioritize patient care in a fast-paced environment.
• Comfortable working variable weekends and holidays as needed.
• Experience with MEDITECH EMR is preferred.
