Quality Technician

Job Requirements 3rd Shift Quality Technician – Sunday to Thursday (10:15 PM–6:15 AM). Under the supervision of the Quality Supervisor, you will be responsible for monitoring finished goods quality control. Pay increases at 90 days and 1 year: start $25.15, 90 days $26.12, 1 year $27.14 plus $1 shift differential for 3rd shift. Responsibilities Perform leaker and weight checks, O₂ and CO₂ checks, fines and shred analyses on finished products. Monitor overall packaging and shred quality. Verify that package labels, case labels, and film UPC scans are correct. Verify that code dates, code date formats, and code date locations are correct. Document detailed non-conformances in Redzone under the production run and Compliance module. Perform pizza bakes on specified items. Perform shred, dice, and cube approvals. Perform end-of-production metal detector checks. Place product on hold using the ERP system. Isolate non-conforming products. Monitor the shelf‑life program. Assist the Hold Coordinators. Qualifications Knowledge of GMP requirements. Good computer skills. Some previous experience in food manufacturing, quality control, or quality lab. Good written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work independently, manage time, think ahead. Good decision‑making skills regarding quality standards. Ability to prioritize tasks based on risk and importance, multi‑task, and communicate results to supervision. Working Environment Comfortable, climate‑controlled work environment. Equipment includes robotic case packers, case erectors, case sealers, and moving belts; fork‑lifts also operate in the packaging area.
