Medcor is currently seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our employer-based clinic located within a manufacturing facility in Ottumwa, IA . This part-time role focuses on occupational health and acute/episodic care in a supportive, team-oriented onsite clinic environment.

Schedule

• Monday & Thursday: 7:00 AM 11:00 AM (CST)
\n
• Total Hours: 8 hours per week
\n
• Day shift only
\n
• No nights, weekends, or on-call hours
\n

Position Overview

\n

The PA/NP will provide occupational health and acute onsite care while working collaboratively with:

\n

\n
• Medcor medical and operational leadership
\n
• Other Medcor associates
\n
• Key contacts within the clients corporate structure
\n

\n

You will work closely with on-site medical staff and a Medcor-employed oversight physician , contributing to coordinated, team-based care for this client.

\n

Scope of Services

\n

\n
• Diagnosis and treatment of workers compensation injuries and illnesses
\n
• Urgent care services
\n
• Surveillance and regulatory exams
\n
• Preventive and wellness services
\n

\n

A Typical Day Includes

\n

\n
• Providing high-quality clinical care and customer service
\n
• Treating injuries and illnesses using evidence-based standards
\n
• Building and maintaining strong internal team relationships
\n
• Collaborating with client health, safety, environmental, HR, and benefits professionals
\n
• Supporting wellness and preventative health initiatives
\n
• Documenting care using state-of-the-art EMR systems
\n
• Educating patients on medical conditions and treatment options
\n
• Coaching patients on healthy behaviors
\n

\n

Required Qualifications

\n

\n
• Valid, unrestricted Iowa license
\n
• Current DEA and BLS certifications
\n
• Strong computer skills and EMR experience
\n
• Positive, outgoing, and collaborative personality
\n
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
\n
• Commitment to outstanding customer service
\n
• Comfort working in an on-site clinic environment
\n

• Occupational health experience
\n
• Previous work-site or employer-based clinic experience
\n
