The hours of the training will be based on schedule or will be discussed on your first day of employment. Training will be conducted on-site.Location: 791 Summit Avenue, Oconomowoc, WI 53066Primary Responsibilities:Greets visitors and patients in personCommunicates by telephone or video conferencing, upholding excellent customer serviceHandles confidential information appropriately by protecting and disclosing information to only those authorizedUnderstands and follows all Switchboard departmental processes implementedPrioritizes by assessing and analyzing information to identify immediate emergency needsDemonstrates technical knowledge and competence in the departmental procedures and maintains current physician on-call schedules to ensure appropriate communication to ProHealth Care PhysiciansEnters and updates patient demographic and financial information, ensuring the patient is fully registered as early in the process as possibleObtains appropriate applications and forms, confirming signatures are on file. Photocopies/scans documents as neededProvides patients with financial responsibility information and collects patient liabilities, documents amount in the appropriate fields, and balances the cash box dailyWorks with partnering departments (Financial Counseling, Scheduling, Financial Clearance, and clinical areas) to ensure all aspects of the patient's encounter are completed as neededProvides wayfinding instructions and assists with hospital information as requestedCoordinates patient admission needs, bed assignments, and tracking boards where applicableMeets or exceeds audit accuracy standards. Works worklists and error reports timely, and proactively seeks assistance to resolve as neededMay perform other duties upon requestYou'll be rewarded and recognized for your performance in an environment that will challenge you and give you clear directions on what it takes to succeed in your role as well as provide development for other roles you may be interested in.Required Qualifications:High School Diploma/GED OR 5+ years of customer service experience in an office setting or professional work environment1+ years of customer service experience in a medical office settingIntermediate level of proficiency with Microsoft Office productsAbility to work from 3:00pm - 11:00pm on the following days:Week 1: Sunday, Wednesday & ThursdayWeek 2: Monday, Tuesday, Friday & SaturdayMust be 18 years or age OR olderPreferred Qualifications:Experience working in an Emergency DepartmentExperience with electronic medical records systemExperience in a medical office or hospital admitting/registration officeKnowledge of medical terminologySoft Skills:Excellent customer service skillsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsDemonstrated ability to work in fast paced environmentsPay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
