Who We Are

Ditmas Children’s Nursing & Rehab is a specialized pediatric subacute facility providing care for medically complex children from birth through age 21 .

Our 21-bed pediatric unit takes an interdisciplinary approach to care, bringing together nursing, medical, respiratory, recreation, and rehabilitation teams. We care for children with a wide range of medical needs, including neurological, genetic, gastrointestinal, pulmonary, and orthopedic conditions.

Position Overview

Ditmas Children’s Nursing & Rehab is seeking a reliable and friendly Front Desk Receptionist for weekend coverage within our pediatric facility.

The Front Desk Receptionist is often the first point of contact for families, visitors, and staff and plays an important role in maintaining a welcoming, professional, and organized environment.

We are looking for someone who is dependable, personable, organized, and comfortable working in a healthcare setting.

Responsibilities

• Welcome and assist families, visitors, patients, and staff entering the facility

• Maintain a professional and welcoming front desk environment

• Answer incoming phone calls and direct calls to the appropriate department or staff member

• Assist visitors with questions and provide appropriate directions throughout the facility

• Monitor individuals entering and leaving the facility

• Assist with basic front desk documentation and administrative responsibilities

• Communicate with nursing and other facility staff as needed

• Help ensure the front desk remains organized and properly covered throughout the shift

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent

• Previous front desk, receptionist, customer service, or administrative experience preferred

• Healthcare or nursing facility experience is a plus

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• Friendly and professional demeanor

• Reliable and punctual

• Comfortable interacting with children, families, healthcare professionals, and visitors

• Ability to remain organized and professional in a busy healthcare environment

Weekend availability is required.
