Merit Health River Region is seeking an Emergency Medicine Physician to join our established Emergency Department team. This opportunity offers the chance to practice in a well-supported, high-volume emergency setting with strong specialty backup and a collaborative clinical environment. • Annual ED volume: 32,000 visits
• Level IV Trauma Center
• 14-bed Emergency Department with 4-bed Fast Track
• 24-hour physician coverage daily
• 10 hours of NP/PA coverage daily
• Strong specialty backup support
• EMR system: Cerner

• Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients presenting with acute and emergent conditions
• Provide timely, evidence-based emergency care in a high-volume setting
• Perform necessary emergency procedures and stabilize critically ill patients
• Collaborate with advanced practice providers, nursing staff, and consulting specialists
• Ensure accurate and timely documentation in the EMR system
• Maintain compliance with hospital protocols, quality standards, and patient safety initiatives

• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Emergency Medicine
• Current Mississippi medical license or eligibility for licensure
• Strong clinical decision-making and communication skills
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced emergency department environment
