Description Join Our Growing Ophthalmology Team as an Ophthalmic Technician! King of Prussia home location/requires travel to North Wales 1-2 days a week, Plymouth Meeting (as needed). Tuesday 7:00AM-5:00PM, Wednesday 7:00AM- 5:00 PM, Thursday 7:00AM-11:00 AM (alternating off), Friday 7:00-3:00 OCT/Fundus photography Visual Acuity, document a Chief Complaint and HPI. Part-Time up to 29 hours Our established multi-specialty Ophthalmology group is seeking a skilled professional to join our friendly and dedicated team. Your Impact: Elevate patient care: Work closely with our ophthalmologists to gather comprehensive patient information, ensuring accurate diagnoses and personalized treatment plans. Master ophthalmic testing: Conduct thorough preliminary examinations, including visual acuity, pupillary responses, and more. Perform advanced diagnostics: Administer a range of diagnostic tests, such as OCT, perimetry, and ophthalmic photography. Assist in surgical procedures: Support ophthalmologists during minor surgeries, laser procedures, and crosslinking. Streamline patient flow: Efficiently manage patient flow in clinic and imaging rooms, collaborating with clinical staff. Administer eye drops: (Certification Required) Contribute to clinic efficiency: Perform clinical and administrative tasks, ensuring a smooth and organized workflow. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. Proven experience as an Ophthalmic Technician. Knowledge of medical office procedures. Ability to perform indirect activities, administrative tasks and any other assigned duties that contribute to the efficient & high-quality performance of the medical practice. High School Diploma or GED. Bonus Points: Certified Ophthalmic Assistant (COA) Certification. Retina Experience Key Skills: Reliability and a strong work ethic. Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team. Proficiency in data entry and typing. Outstanding customer service skills.
