About the Position

Job Opportunity – Pediatric Medical-Surgical / Step-Down RN – Wisconsin

Schedule: 12-hour shifts (7:00am-7:30pm or 7:00pm-7:30am), Monday through Friday with every other weekend required. Floating to other units as needed.

Highlights:

• Mixed acuity pediatric unit serving general medical to step-down intermediate care patients
• Diverse patient population including neurology, diabetic, nephrology, spinal fusion, and complex respiratory cases
• Epic EMR system utilized facility-wide
• Care for patients requiring tracheostomy and ventilator management, CPAP, BIPAP, and pulmonary support
• Magnet-designated facility with comprehensive pediatric specialty services and Level One Pediatric Trauma Center
• 36 hours of orientation provided; patient ratio typically 1:3

Requirements:

• Active RN license in good standing
• Minimum 2 years of recent acute care Pediatric Medical-Surgical experience required
• Epic charting system experience required
• BLS and PALS certifications (American Heart Association only)
• Successful completion of telemetry exam prior to start date with strict passing criteria
• Experience with central lines, telemetry monitoring, ventilator management, tracheostomy care, and complex pediatric conditions
• Proficiency in pediatric dosage calculations and interpretation of dysrhythmias
• Flu vaccination required (medical/religious exemptions considered)
• Must reside 50 miles or more from the facility
