Our organization , situated in Poughkeepsie, New York, just a short 75-minute journey from New York City, is in search of a Hematologist with a strong academic focus, specializing in both classical and malignant hematology. This role will primarily involve the treatment of patients with hematologic malignancies while also supervising the assessment and management of patients with classical hematological disorders, supported by advanced practitioners. Our Cancer Institute is experiencing rapid growth as we expand our clinical trial offerings and aim to establish ourselves as a premier cancer program in the region. The ideal candidate will be board certified or eligible in hematology and possess post-fellowship experience or specialized training in hematology.

Our organization offers comprehensive tertiary oncology services through our hospital systems and multi-specialty practice, accredited by The American College of Surgeons as a Comprehensive Community Cancer Program. We have established many essential components of a thorough oncology service line, including cutting-edge radiation oncology and surgical specialties in Breast, Thoracic, Gastrointestinal, Gynecologic, Genitourinary Oncology, and Hepatobiliary Surgery. Onsite services such as nurse navigation and genetic counseling are also available, along with numerous opportunities for research and clinical trials.

At the Nuvance Health Cancer Institute, our multidisciplinary Tumor Boards unite a diverse group of specialists to collaboratively evaluate complex patient cases, developing personalized, evidence-based treatment strategies. Our extensive clinical trials program allows patients early access to groundbreaking therapies. This initiative is further enhanced by the Rudy L. Ruggles Biomedical Research Institute, which conducts translational cancer research, facilitating the transfer of laboratory breakthroughs directly to patient care to enhance outcomes and promote community health.

Located along the picturesque Hudson River, our facility features a new 752,000 square-foot, eight-story inpatient pavilion, equipped with 263 private medical/surgical rooms and 30 critical care units. We provide top-tier acute and critical emergency care in the region, including Level II Trauma Services and Interventional Neuroradiology. Our organization has established centers of excellence in cardiac services, neurosciences, cancer care, and women's health, consistently ranking among the top cardiac programs in the United States and recognized as one of the Top 100 Heart Hospitals by Modern HealthCare Magazine.

Compensation: $400,000-$600,000 per year, commensurate with experience and position.
