About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Stepdown Cardiac Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours (19:00 - 07:30) Experience: Minimum 1 year of experience in relevant specialty License: Registered Nurse Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIH, Med and arrhythmia exam Must-Have: 1 year of EPIC EMR experience Description: Strong Cardiac Stepdown nurse needed for night shift. The role involves caring for patients in a cardiac stepdown setting. Candidates must hold current ACLS and BLS certifications. NIH certifications are required as well. The nurse should have knowledge of blood product administration, cardiac telemetry, central line care, and management of dysrhythmias. The ideal candidate will be experienced in starting and maintaining IVs, managing PCA, and interpreting dysrhythmias. Knowledge of isolation precautions and tracheostomy care is essential. This position requires the ability to manage patients with a variety of cardiac conditions. The daily patient census is approximately 20, with a patient ratio of 4 per nurse during day and night shifts. Candidates must be willing to float to other units if necessary. This role will involve interdisciplinary support including IV teams and respiratory services. Staff will only float to units they are qualified for. Modules are billable and must be completed pre-start and annually. Travelers must meet eligibility criteria related to distance from assigned units.
