Job Details

Responsibilities:

As a Staff Accountant, you will:

1. Manage all accounting operations including Billing, A/R, A/P, GL, Cost Accounting, Inventory Accounting, and Revenue Recognition.
2. Coordinate and direct the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts, reporting any variances.
3. Prepare and publish timely monthly financial statements.
4. Support month-end and year-end close process.
5. Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting.
6. Manage and comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings.
7. Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.
8. Work closely with other departments to provide financial insights and recommendations.
9. Utilize advanced Excel skills to analyze data and produce relevant financial reports.
10. Understand and manage commissions and compensation plans.

Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

1. A minimum of 2 years of experience as a Staff Accountant or similar role within the automotive industry.
2. Strong knowledge of aftermarket products.
3. Proficiency in A/R, Year End Close, and AP.
4. Advanced Excel skills, including the ability to create complex formulas, pivot tables, and macros.
5. Solid experience in forecasting, budgeting, and financial analysis.
6. Familiarity with financial regulations and accounting principles.
7. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
8. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
9. The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
10. A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
