Registered Nurse – ICU / Critical Care Float Pool

Location

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | 13 Weeks | Nights, 4x12-hour shifts (19:00–07:30) | Every other weekend required

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care within a critical care float pool, floating to all critical care units to meet facility needs
• Perform and manage telemetry monitoring, including interpretation and management of dysrhythmias — a telemetry competency test will be administered
• Manage ventilators, IV access, and conscious sedation in a high-acuity critical care environment
• Operate within a Magnet-designated, academic/teaching, Level I Trauma Center setting
• Document accurately using Epic (HARDSTOP charting required)

Required Qualifications

• Active, unencumbered RN license in Washington State (no pending licenses accepted)
• Minimum 3 years of critical care (ICU) experience, including Level I Trauma Center experience — ICU experience within the last year is required
• Academic/teaching facility experience required
• Proficiency in telemetry interpretation and dysrhythmia management required
• Required skills: ventilator management, IV insertion, telemetry, and conscious sedation
• BLS (BCLS) and ACLS certifications required
• Epic EMR experience required
• Two supervisory references required at time of submittal (references must be from a direct supervisor, not a charge RN)
• All requested time off (RTO) must be submitted prior to placement; additional RTO will not be granted after an offer has been made; RTO cannot be accommodated during the first 2 weeks
• Holiday restrictions apply: expected to work 2 of 3 major holidays; Christmas RTO is not available
• Prior employees of this facility must have an 18-month separation before being eligible
• Local candidates are welcome

Preferred Experience / Skills

• TNCC certification preferred
• Experience with ICP monitoring preferred
• Experience with PA lines preferred
