Role Description The Occupational Therapist will provide full-time, on-site services at EMPOWER Behavioral Health & Intervention in Columbus, OH. Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting assessments to determine functional abilities and needs, developing individualized treatment plans, and delivering evidence-based occupational therapy interventions for children with autism and other developmental disorders. The role involves working on fine and gross motor skills, sensory processing, self-care routines, and activities of daily living in coordination with speech therapists, behavioral health providers, and case managers. The Occupational Therapist will collaborate with families, caregivers, and school or community partners to support carryover of therapeutic strategies and promote success in home, school, work, and community environments. Documentation of treatment, progress monitoring, and participation in interdisciplinary team meetings are integral parts of the position. Qualifications Demonstrated expertise in Occupational Therapy and Rehabilitation, with the ability to design and implement individualized, evidence-based treatment plans. Knowledge of Pediatrics and developmental disorders, including autism Strong Communication skills for collaborating with clients, families, caregivers, and interdisciplinary team members. Current state licensure (or eligibility) as an Occupational Therapist in Ohio; graduation from an accredited Occupational Therapy program. Experience in autism intervention, early childhood services, or developmental disability settings is highly beneficial. Ability to provide on-site care in Columbus, OH, maintain accurate clinical documentation, and follow ethical and regulatory standards.
