Key Duties & Responsibilities
- Provide clinical pharmacy services for oncology and infusion patients.
- Review and verify chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and infusion medication orders for accuracy and appropriateness.
- Utilize Epic Beacon for oncology medication management, order verification, and documentation.
- Ensure appropriate dosing, drug selection, interactions, allergies, and contraindications are reviewed.
- Collaborate with oncologists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to optimize patient medication therapy.
- Prepare and oversee the safe dispensing of hazardous and non-hazardous medications according to established protocols.
- Support medication safety, quality assurance, and compliance with pharmacy standards.
- Provide drug information and clinical recommendations to healthcare providers and patients when appropriate.
- Monitor patients' medication therapy and identify potential adverse effects or drug-related problems.
- Maintain accurate pharmacy records and documentation within the electronic health record.
- Follow applicable oncology, infusion, USP, and medication safety protocols .
- Support pharmacy operations and workflow to ensure timely delivery of medications to infusion services.
- Active Washington State Pharmacist License
- BLS Certification - Required
- Experience in Oncology/Infusion Pharmacy
- Epic Beacon experience - Required
- Pharmacist-in-Charge (PIC) experience - Preferred
- Ability to work Monday-Friday, 40 hours per week
- Ability to work the scheduled day shift
