Neurohospitalist Locums Job in Florida Hospital Coverage + Call Ongoing Coverage Up to 10 Shifts per Month Assignment

5-10 shifts per month ongoing
Shift Details
24 hour shifts consisting of 12 hour hospitalist shift and 12 hour on call
Hospitalist shift: 7am - 7pm, includes rounding, consults, and stroke alerts
On call shift: 7pm - 7am, includes stroke alerts and potential hospital calls
Board Certified
Must be licensed in Florida
Read EEGs
BLS certification
Assignment Details
Three EDs plus hospital and free standing ERs
Coverage extends to rehab facility associated with hospital
Support includes nursing staff and technicians
EMR systems are Meditech, Patient Keeper, and eCW
Daily volume: Approximately 12 signed out patients with total list potentially in the 20s
Stroke alerts handled in person during day shift and via telehealth when not in hospital
Continuous coverage model
Night shifts are typically low volume and quiet
Inpatient stroke alerts are rare
