Facilities Janitor

Job Title: Janitorial / Facilities Custodian - 2nd Shift

Shift: 2nd Shift | 3:30 PM - 12:00 AM

Position Summary:
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Janitorial / Facilities Custodian to support cleanliness and overall upkeep within a manufacturing facility in Yucaipa, CA. This role is responsible for maintaining a safe, clean, and organized work environment for production and office areas. Candidates should be team-oriented, dependable, and comfortable working in an industrial setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Clean and maintain restrooms, breakrooms, offices, and production areas
• Sweep, mop, vacuum, and remove trash and recycling
• Restock janitorial and restroom supplies as needed
• Follow safety procedures and company policies at all times
• Work collaboratively with team members and supervisors to resolve work issues
• Report maintenance or safety concerns promptly
• Support general facility upkeep as assigned

Knowledge & Abilities

• Ability to interpret written and verbal instructions
• Basic shop math skills
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment
• Effective communication skills in English
• Forklift certification preferred but not required

Education & Experience

• High School Diploma or GED preferred
• Previous experience in a manufacturing, warehouse, or facilities environment preferred but not required

Physical Demands

• Ability to occasionally push or exert force up to 50 pounds
• Good eyesight and hand dexterity
• Ability to identify and distinguish colors
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and reach for extended periods

Work Environment

• Industrial manufacturing setting
• Exposure to noise, moving mechanical parts, oils/solvents, fumes, and odors
• Potential exposure that may affect eyes, ears, nose, throat, and/or skin
• All work performed within established safety guidelines and PPE requirements
