This role collaborates with the Sales organization to understand customer operations and process challenges to develop industry-leading system solutions within the material handling industry. This role also collaborates within the Execution organization, ensuring concept designs align with system functionality requirements and support concept transformation into detailed design solutions.Your role in our teamYou will lead the design and development of material handling system solutions, leveraging deep expertise in equipment technology and operational processesYou will partner with clients to define system requirements, analyze data, and deliver solutions that improve efficiency and meet end-user needsYou will provide technical leadership during the sales phase, presenting solutions and building client confidence in Körber’s capabilitiesYou will support multiple concurrent projects ranging from $1M to $250M in valueYou will facilitate internal and client-facing meetings to align on system concepts, requirements, and project progressYou will develop and utilize material flow calculations and Basis of Design (BOD) to define system performance and throughputYou will serve as a subject matter expert on material handling equipment, ensuring optimal technology selection and system integrationYou will create system concepts, process flows, and material flow diagrams to support solution development and decision-makingYou will collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, design, bid, and operations teams to develop specifications, pricing, and project handoff documentationYou will support system validation through simulation, emulation, and commissioning, ensuring alignment with “as-sold” solutions and acceptance criteriaYour profileYou are proficient in automation layout and design with AutoCAD 2D or Navisworks, and know about 3D CAD modeling and draftingYou can travel 25%You understand automation controls with a demonstrated interest in cross-functional collaborationYou have strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical stakeholdersYou can clearly document technical decisions using visuals, diagrams, and concise written explanationsYou have excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a data-driven approach to decision-makingYou have a proven track record of delivering high-quality work that meets or exceeds customer expectationsEligible applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis. The employer will not sponsor applicants for work visas for this position.Education and Experience QualificationsBachelor’s degree in engineering discipline, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
