Job Title: Shipping & Inventory Clerk

Job Description

The Shipping & Inventory Clerk supports warehouse and parts operations from a professional, client-facing front office. This role greets walk-in customers, assists with parts inquiries, accurately maintains inventory data, coordinates inbound and outbound shipments, and manages email and phone communication. It is well-suited for someone who is organized, friendly, comfortable with computers, and eager to learn in a busy commercial truck dealership environment.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers, drivers, and vendors at the front office and direct them to the appropriate department.
• Serve as a professional, client-facing point of contact, providing courteous and efficient customer service.
• Input and update inventory data accurately in dealership and warehouse systems.
• Assist with receiving parts shipments, including logging received goods and confirming quantities.
• Coordinate outbound shipments, ensuring correct documentation and timely processing.
• Maintain accurate shipping documentation, part records, and related paperwork.
• Collaborate closely with warehouse and parts teams to verify stock counts and support inventory control.
• Manage email and phone communication with customers and internal departments in a timely and professional manner.
• Support parts department inquiries by locating information, checking availability, and relaying details to the appropriate staff.
• Perform general administrative duties, including filing, labeling, data entry, and document organization.
• Help maintain an organized front office environment that supports fast turnaround and efficient workflow.
• Demonstrate consistent reliability in attendance and adherence to the Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM schedule.

Essential Skills

• Prior experience with basic computer operations, including email, data entry, and MS Office or similar software.
• Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy in data entry and documentation.
• Professional demeanor appropriate for a client-facing front desk role.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability and willingness to learn dealership systems and inventory processes.
• Comfort working in an office located at the front of an active warehouse.
• Reliable attendance and punctuality for a Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM shift.
• Organizational skills to manage inventory tracking, receipt logging, and paperwork efficiently.

Work Environment

The role is based in a climate-controlled, client-facing front office that is directly connected to an active warehouse. You will work closely with parts and warehouse teams in a professional dealership setting focused on heavy, medium, and light-duty commercial trucks. The standard schedule is Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM. The environment involves regular computer use, email communication, inventory systems, and interaction with walk-in customers, drivers, and vendors, requiring professional attire appropriate for a front desk office role.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Orlando, FL.

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
