Inspection SupervisorThe Inspection Supervisor leads dimensional and nondestructive examination (NDE) inspection activities at the Orrvilon Manufacturing Division, ensuring products meet all quality, code, safety, and customer requirements. This role is responsible for coordinating inspection resources, guiding technical execution, and developing inspection personnel in a regulated manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate brings strong inspection expertise, leadership capability, and the ability to collaborate effectively across manufacturing, engineering, and quality organizations.Location: Orrville, OH (On-site)Primary Responsibilities:Lead and coordinate dimensional and NDE inspection activities across the facility to support production and quality objectivesPlan, schedule, and assign inspection tasks based on production priorities and staffing capabilitiesEnsure all NDE inspections (including PT, VT, and other qualified methods) are performed in accordance with approved procedures, applicable codes, and customer requirementsReview, approve, and release inspection results, documentation, and quality recordsPartner with manufacturing and engineering teams to evaluate non-conformances, resolve technical issues, and support corrective actionsProvide technical guidance related to inspection methods, acceptance criteria, and inspection outcomesSupport continuous improvement initiatives related to inspection processes, efficiency, and accuracyEnsure inspection activities comply with internal quality systems and external regulatory requirementsSupervise, mentor, train, and develop dimensional and NDE inspection personnelEnsure inspectors maintain required certifications, qualifications, and ongoing training (SNT-TC-1A, code updates, internal qualifications, etc.)Conduct performance evaluations and support employee development planningParticipate in recruitment, onboarding, and qualification of new inspection personnelPromote a culture of safety, accountability, quality, and continuous improvement within the inspection teamRequirements:High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training strongly preferred3–5 years of nondestructive examination experience, with at least 1–2 years in a lead, supervisory, or mentoring roleWorking knowledge of dimensional inspection methods, tools, and GD&T principles (preferred)ASNT SNT-TC-1A Level II certification in PT and VT (required)Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, quality systems, and applicable industry codesAbility to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and welding symbolsDemonstrated leadership, communication, organizational, and decision-making skillsAbility to work effectively with manufacturing, engineering, and quality teamsDimensional inspection certifications or demonstrated proficiency (CMM, laser tracker, precision metrology)Experience in fabrication, machining, testing, or nuclear manufacturing environmentsFamiliarity with digital inspection systems, reporting tools, and Microsoft OfficeBenefits:Benefits for U.S.-based employees include a comprehensive total rewards package designed to support health, wellbeing, and long-term financial security, including: Medical, dental, and vision coverage with generous employer contributions and Day 1 eligibility FLEX program with hybrid work opportunities for eligible roles 401(k) retirement plan with up to a 5% company match and immediate vesting Paid time off and 11 paid holidays Wellness and commuter programs Company-paid life and AD&D insurance Education assistance and professional development support Employee Assistance Program and optional voluntary benefits
