This Level 3 trauma facility provides comprehensive cardiothoracic surgical services with established protocols for quality patient care delivery. The medical center maintains modern surgical equipment and support systems to ensure optimal outcomes for cardiothoracic surgery patients requiring both inpatient and outpatient care.

The California Pacific Coast is an iconic 800-mile ribbon of dramatic cliffs, redwood forests, and crashing surf. It shifts from sun-drenched southern beaches to moody, fog-swept northern shores, offering everything from major metropolitan hubs to secluded, untamed wilderness.

The cardiothoracic surgeon will provide comprehensive 24-hour call coverage for both inpatient and clinic settings. Daily responsibilities include office hours, hospital rounds, heart team meetings, and interaction with advanced practice providers. The clinician will perform cardiac and thoracic procedures including CABG, valve surgery, aortic aneurysm repair, TAVR, pleurodesis, decortication, pulmonary resection, pericardial window, tracheostomy, and mediastinoscopy procedures. Board certification is required for this assignment.
